Although the BİST100 index on Borsa Istanbul closed the week of October 14-18 with a decline, Sasa Polyester (SASA) shares stood out positively, becoming a favorite among investors. The activity surrounding SASA shares throughout the week was noteworthy, particularly with the substantial purchases by Garanti BBVA Investment and Vakıf Investment.

# Garanti BBVA Investment and Vakıf Investment Compete in Purchasing SASA

During the week of October 14-18, Garanti BBVA Investment clients executed a total of 92,186,515 lots in SASA shares. Out of these transactions, 54,455,046 lots were purchases, while 37,731,469 lots were sales. Garanti BBVA Investment ended the week with a net purchase of 16,723,577 lots in Sasa Polyester shares, with an average acquisition cost recorded at 3.872 TL. The net equivalent of weekly purchases amounted to 64,751,133 TL. On the Vacif Investment side, from October 7-11, a total of 137,124,722 lots were traded in SASA shares. Among these transactions, 75,346,574 lots were purchases, and 61,778,148 lots were sales. Vakıf Investment finished the week with a net acquisition of 13,568,426 lots in Sasa Polyester shares, achieving an average acquisition cost of 3.923 TL. The net equivalent of their weekly purchases was 53,225,154 TL.

In response to the substantial purchases by Garanti BBVA Investment and Vakıf Investment, selling activity was also observed in SASA shares. TEB Investment sold 14,508,286 lots, while Deniz Investment followed with 13,357,669 lots among the brokerage firms engaged in selling.

As a result, Sasa Polyester (SASA) shares experienced significant volatility throughout the week on BIST. The substantial purchases by Garanti BBVA Investment and Vakıf Investment have heightened interest in SASA shares. It remains to be seen how these purchases will affect the future performance of SASA shares.
