The European Union (EU) has imposed tariffs on $3.4 billion worth of U.S. products in response to the ongoing subsidy dispute between Boeing and Airbus. The tariffs, which went into effect on Tuesday, target a range of goods including tractors, spirits, and video game consoles. This move comes after the World Trade Organization ruled in favor of the EU in a long-running dispute over subsidies provided to Boeing by the United States. The EU has stated that they are open to negotiations to resolve the issue, but will continue to impose tariffs until a mutually acceptable solution is reached.
