İTÜ Çekirdek, the world’s best university incubation center, supports entrepreneurs with a 360-degree approach by opening global market channels for their products and services and designing and delivering all necessary services for fast development. Through the Big Bang Startup Challenge, it connects technology startups that will lead the future with investors, the public, and the media. This year’s Big Bang, themed “A New Wave,” will take place on December 18-19, 2024, at UNIQ Istanbul. The event will prepare the stage for the 50 best startups to meet with awards and investment, hosted once again by M. Serdar Kuzuloğlu. This year, the startups’ presentations will be broadcast live to global investors. After providing a record-breaking total of 1.28 billion TL in awards, cash, and investment support to startups last year, Big Bang is expected to generate even greater resources this year. The event, held at UNIQ Istanbul, is counting down the days to engage thousands of viewers focused on technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation in this excitement.
Support for Startups is Increasing Every Year
As an Impactful Incubation Center, İTÜ Çekirdek continues to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem, averaging 500 startups annually and providing millions of dollars in added value to the Turkish economy. Over 13 years, İTÜ Çekirdek has helped nurture 4,500 technology startups, contributing to the establishment of 1,600 of them. Furthermore, it has facilitated the creation of jobs for 11,000 individuals and assisted startups in raising over 270 million dollars in investment. In 2022, İTÜ Çekirdek offered support worth 341 million TL in awards, cash, and investments to startups on the Big Bang stage, which increased 3.5 times in 2023, reaching 1.28 billion dollars.
