Ariel Grunkraut – who was CEO of Zamp for the past two years — will take over the leadership of Kraft Heinz Brazil, with the goal of accelerating the growth of the consumer giant in one of its fastest-growing markets.

Ariel will replace Fernando Rosa, who left the company last month to become the president of Havaianas Brazil.

12102 7c52aa2b 3b9e 6b06 f145 d871f4cfdcbaFernando spent nearly seven years at Kraft Heinz, the last four as CEO of Brazil.

Ariel has a wealth of experience in the food and consumer goods sector. He was one of the founding partners of Burger King Brazil in 2011 and led the sales, marketing, and technology areas for ten years — helping to transform the company into one of the largest fast-food chains in the country.

In 2022, he was promoted to CEO of Zamp, the holding company that controls Burger King Brazil, Popeyes, and now Starbucks. He left the company in July after Mubadala became the controlling shareholder.

Brazil is an important market for Kraft Heinz — and one of the fastest-growing in recent years, according to the company.

The company has four factories in the country — in Nerópolis (Goiás), Nova Goiás (Goiás), Blumenau (Santa Catarina), and Jandira (São Paulo) — as well as an office in São Paulo, two distribution centers, and over 3,000 employees.

Kraft Heinz does not report separate figures for Brazil, but the emerging markets, the category which Brazil falls under, accounted for about 10% of the company’s total revenue in the second quarter, or $670 million.
