The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, made evaluations regarding developments in technology and industry during an Anadolu Agency Editor’s Desk meeting.

Minister Kacır stated that they are in close dialogue with Chery regarding its automotive investment and that they are nearing the final stages of the investment process. He mentioned that they will continue to share Turkey’s potential with other brands as well.

They will conduct the first public flight demonstration of the Bayraktar TB3 and our unmanned combat aircraft ANKA-3 at TEKNOFEST Adana.

In our first TEKNOFEST, we organized 14 technology competitions. This year’s TEKNOFEST features 1 million 650 thousand young people competing with their projects in 790 thousand teams.

The attacks from Israel serve as a historical example, demonstrating that technology that does not rest on ethical and moral values can only lead to disaster for humanity.

In the upcoming period, one of the first items on the Parliament’s agenda will be legislative work concerning the Cyber Security Authority.

We are increasing our measures to meet the cybersecurity needs of industrial products. We will take new steps for the control and oversight of devices.

Regarding BYD’s investment, production will start in 2026, and contracts have been signed. The land allocation process in Manisa OSB has been completed, and applications for factory construction permits have been submitted.
