Škoda, one of the most established companies in the automotive industry, has unveiled its first fully electric model in the C-SUV segment. The newest model, Elroq, was introduced at its global premiere held in Prague, which we covered on-site through Webrazzi.

Elroq is the first fully electric model designed with Škoda’s new design language, “Modern Solid,” blending traditional Škoda aesthetics with contemporary lines. The Škoda Elroq measures 4,488 mm in length, 1,884 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, and will be available in nine different color options.

According to Škoda, the materials used for seat upholstery, door panels, and other interior surfaces are made from recycled and environmentally friendly components.

ChatGPT-Powered Voice Assistant

The Elroq features a 13-inch screen and includes Škoda’s voice assistant, Laura. With ChatGPT support, Laura can control the vehicle’s infotainment, navigation, and climate control systems, as well as answer general information questions.

Range of Over 560 Kilometers

The fully electric Elroq comes in four different versions: 50, 60, 85, and 85x. It offers three different battery capacities of 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh as well as motor power options ranging from 125 kW to 210 kW. The versions equipped with the largest lithium-ion battery boast a range of over 560 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.

The entry-level Elroq 50 produces 125 kW of power, while the Elroq 85x features an all-wheel drive system and an additional motor. The Elroq is also equipped with successful fast-charging technology. The vehicle supports DC fast charging of up to 175 kW, and the 82 kWh battery in the 85 and 85x versions can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 28 minutes.

The Elroq model also includes safety systems such as a Travel Assistant, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian and cyclist predictive braking assistant, lane keeping assist, and traffic congestion assist.

Zafer Başar, General Manager of Yüce Auto-Škoda, mentioned that Škoda continues to innovate and expand its product range, emphasizing that the C-SUV segment is the most crucial for accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and assisting users in transitioning to electric models.

Başar highlighted that Elroq perfectly embodies Škoda’s practicality, spacious interior, and comfort within the electric mobility landscape. He also noted that the technology and design of Elroq, combined with the recycled materials used in the vehicle, further advance sustainability efforts.

Available for Sale in the First Half of 2025

It’s worth noting that Škoda’s first fully electric mass production model was the Citigoe iV, introduced in 2020, followed by models like the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe. The Elroq will be produced at Škoda’s main factory in Mladá Boleslav and is expected to be available for sale in Turkey in the first half of 2025.
