Responding to the constantly changing music listening habits and user needs is crucial. In line with this, Spotify has introduced a new feature that will help users continue enjoying music, even when their connection is lost. The app will automatically create an Offline Backup playlist when the internet connection is interrupted. This playlist will consist of previously listened and saved songs, adapting over time based on users’ listening habits.
This feature makes it easier for users to enjoy music when they are offline. The playlist will appear on the app’s main screen when the device is offline. However, to use this feature, the offline listening option must be enabled in the app, and users must have listened to more than five songs recently. Additionally, this feature is only available to premium subscribers.
The automatically generated playlist can be filtered by criteria such as artist, mood, and genre. Users can permanently add this playlist to their libraries if they like it.
Spotify’s new feature stands out as an innovation that significantly enhances the user experience. The ability to continue listening to music without an internet connection provides a significant advantage, especially for users who travel frequently or live in areas with weak internet connectivity.
The automatically created playlists allow users to enjoy music without the need to manually create playlists, simplifying the app’s use.
Furthermore, the playlist’s gradual customization based on users’ listening habits could offer a personalized experience, potentially increasing user loyalty.
