Tüpraş, through its venture capital arm, Tüpraş Ventures, has announced investments in two companies in the green hydrogen sector. According to information shared by Tüpraş Ventures, the company has invested in Verdagy, based in the United States, and Ionomr, based in Canada. These investments will help Tüpraş achieve its sustainable energy goals. It should also be noted that no information has been provided regarding the financial values of these investments.

Verdagy is a company that develops highly efficient electrolyzer technologies. This technology produces hydrogen without emitting carbon by splitting water. We had previously informed you that Verdagy had received a $25 million investment focused on green hydrogen production.

Another new investment from Tüpraş Ventures, Ionomr, is developing innovative membranes used in hydrogen production. These membranes help produce hydrogen more efficiently.

Levent Zağra, Deputy General Manager of Tüpraş, stated that these investments are part of strategic transformation plans aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Zağra expressed, “We want to be early adopters of the most efficient and innovative technologies.”

The use of green hydrogen significantly reduces carbon emissions by providing an alternative to fossil fuels and accelerates the transformation in the energy sector. Tüpraş Ventures’ investments in green hydrogen initiatives are crucial for achieving sustainable energy goals.

These investments support Tüpraş’s goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050, while introducing new technologies in hydrogen production through companies like Verdagy and Ionomr. Tüpraş Ventures plans to continue investing in green hydrogen and other sustainable energy sectors in the coming years.
