We reported back in March that the fourth generation of the budget-friendly iPhone SE could be released with a new design in early 2025. The iPhone SE 4 is expected to hit the market in spring 2025, becoming Apple’s most affordable new model.

According to shared information, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a design reminiscent of the iPhone 14 and will come with a larger 6.1-inch OLED display. Considering that the current model has a 4.7-inch LCD screen, we can say that there will be a significant increase in both screen size and quality. In this regard, the SE series is starting to align with Apple’s flagship devices in terms of display technology.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by the A18 chip, which was released with the iPhone 16 series last month. Additionally, the device will transition from Touch ID to Face ID, eliminating the physical Home button from the iPhone.

The new iPhone SE 4 is also expected to replace the Lightning connector with a USB-C port. Furthermore, it may include the Action button introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro. Expected changes for the iPhone SE 4 include a custom-designed 5G modem, a 48MP rear camera, and 8GB of RAM. With these upgrades, both the camera (now 48MP instead of 12MP) and the RAM (increased from 4GB) are receiving significant enhancements. The increase in RAM will also support Apple Intelligence, which will be launched with iOS 18.1. As a result, the SE 4 will be the most affordable iPhone capable of running Apple Intelligence, something even the standard iPhone 15 models released last year could not do.

According to the well-known analyst Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the device’s price will likely range from $400 to $500, in line with previous models. Both Gurman and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have stated that the model is set to be released in the spring of 2025. Considering that all previous iPhone SE models were announced in March, it’s plausible that the model will debut in March 2025.
