Turkey’s leading entrepreneurship and technology conference, Webrazzi Summit, is in full swing. Yasin Yılmaz, the Country Manager of Yandex Maps API, was on the Grow stage at the Webrazzi Summit presenting a session titled “Transforming Businesses with Cutting-edge Geospatial Technologies.”
According to Yasin Yılmaz’s data, Yandex Maps has 100 million unique app users on the B2C side, with the platform reaching a remarkable 29 million daily search queries. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that there are over 22 billion annual routes created on the platform.
Furthermore, Yasin Yılmaz discussed Yandex Maps API’s B2B solutions for businesses. He highlighted that the annual route count is 1.5 billion, while the number of unique users for websites utilizing the organization’s APIs exceeds 300 million. Notably, over 50,000 companies are making use of Yandex Maps API products, and the annual query volume for the organization’s APIs is 27 billion.
According to Yasin Yılmaz, the organization’s Geocoder product boasts 14% higher accuracy compared to its main competitor. The relevant response rate stands at 50%, while the competitor’s rate is only 37%. Geocoder particularly provides 1.5 times more accurate responses for İzmir and Adana. This accuracy rate is 1.4 times higher for Antalya and Istanbul, and 1.3 times higher for Bursa and Ankara.
When looking at Yandex Maps API products, we find interactive and static maps including Tiles API, Static API, JavaScript API, and MapKit SDK. In the areas of geocoding and search, they offer products like Geosuggest, Geocoder, and business search. For navigation, routes, and geographical location, they provide location targeting, distance measurement, route specifics, and NaviKit SDK.
Yasin Yılmaz also illustrated how APIs can be utilized on stage. Companies across various sectors—including e-commerce, retail, banking, telecom, automotive manufacturing, and SMEs—can benefit from the map services that Yandex Maps API offers. He also indicated that the company is collaborating with approximately 40 startups.
