Initially announced at I/O 2024, Gemini Live was made available in English for Advanced subscribers at the Made by Google event. After some anticipation, the feature has now gradually rolled out with support for the Turkish language, starting today.
Gemini Live is expected to be available to all users in the coming weeks. It aims to support over 40 languages soon, allowing users to experience Gemini Live in their own languages.
Previously, this feature was exclusively available to Gemini Advanced subscribers and is quite similar to ChatGPT’s voice chat feature, offering a choice between multiple voices. Additionally, users can stop talking without needing to press a button.
Gemini Live enables users to engage in in-depth voice conversations with Google’s AI-powered chatbot, Gemini, on their smartphones. According to Google, the conversation engine provides more consistent, emotionally engaging, and realistic dialogues.
Moreover, users can interrupt the chatbot while it is speaking to ask follow-up questions, and Gemini adjusts its responses in real time to match their conversational patterns. Gemini Live users can interact with Gemini to plan events, request information from the past to the present, and brainstorm new ideas.
